This annual event is not only a fun evening with a casino theme, great food, and drinks—it’s also our primary fundraiser, with a goal of raising $70,000 to support the critical work we do.

For over 40 years, 211 Big Bend has been the only local hotline serving the Big Bend area, connecting individuals to emotional support and essential resources. We’re here 24/7 to provide guidance and referrals, including answering calls to the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. Every day, we respond to people facing various challenges, from mental health crises to housing and food insecurity, ensuring that no one has to navigate these situations alone.

With recent funding cuts, support from partners like you is crucial. The funds raised at this event will help keep our hotline counselors on the lines and sustain the vital, unrestricted services we offer to the community.

211 Big Bend is a 24/7 stigma-free and confidential hotline dedicated to providing emotional support, crisis counseling, suicide prevention, care coordination, and connection to critical services in our community including childcare and housing. 211 Big Bend has answered the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline (988) for 14 counties in our area for years. Since the 988 rollout in July 2022 our call center volume for suicide, mental health and crisis support is up 40%. We need your support now more than ever. The Night of Hope will provide much needed funds to add additional hotline staff and build critical infrastructure to keep answering calls for people in crisis. To give you some perspective, our overnight weekend counselor, Shelley, who used to receive eight calls per night is now getting 15+ calls. Shelley and 211 Big Bend needs your support!
