Survivors of Suicide Loss
On average, every 11 days, someone dies by suicide in Leon County.
For each of these deaths, over 115 others are exposed to the suicide, with 1 in 5 reporting that this experience has a devastating impact on their lives. As the number of suicide deaths increase, so does the number of survivors left behind to cope with the aftermath of suicide.
Monthly, 2-1-1 Big Bend facilitates a free support group for Survivors of Suicide (SOS) loss.
If you would like to attend an SOS group, please email or call Stephen Sardelis at ssardelis@211bigbend.org or 850-617-6314.
